Jordan Tourism Board organized a road show in Far East

As part of the marketing tourism strategy to enter new markets, the Jordan Tourism Board organized a road show in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Thailand. During this road show, they introduced themselves and meet with some very important officials in the region, such as Dr. Billy Kim, and other Korean and Thai officials.

A number of Jordanian tour operators and local tourism authorities such as Petra Tourism and Development Regional Authority showcased the variety of experiences that Jordan offers as a tourism destination, ranging from history and culture to leisure and wellness, fun and adventure, religion and faith and many others.

“Last year, Jordan witnessed an increase in Asian tourists, which is why we are excited to be organizing this road show and seizing the opportunity to showcase the diversity of Jordan as a travel destination. This road show coupled with some major activities such as hosting press and familiarization trips for trade, should have a major impact on the Far East market numbers. Furthermore, it is a great opportunity to introduce Jordan’s tourism products to this promising market.” Said Dr. Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat, Managing Director of JTB.

The Jordan Tourism Board is currently working on the developments of its marketing collateral, print materials in Chinese, Korean and Japanese, which will enable tour operators to better promote Jordan and present tangible, more accessible materials in their clients first language.
